Horrible LG Experience

We purchased an LG microwave in November of 2021. Within the year the control pad began to flicker and then went black. LG came out to repair in late 2021 since it was still under warranty. Within 7 months the repaired control pad is now flickering as the first one did. However LG will not fix the unit this time since it is out of warranty. Yes they are technically correct however the repaired unit broke within its first year of getting fixed. We purchased 5 LG appliances in November of 2020. 3 out to the 5 appliances have required repairs.

the control panel button are to dark and I have to use a flashlight to see them. On your picture you can see them on the microwave you do not see them. I am very disappointed about this purchase. Therefore I would not buy another one and would have returned if it was not hard to remove.

Bought this last month. One problem I have with many products that need to be installed is they dont have a standard installation no matter the brand. I was replacing a microwave in the same spot but I couldnt use the bracket I put in for the old one nor could I use the same holes in upper cabinet for the screws that go in the top. So new bracket and new holes had to be drilled. The other issue is the over the stove light under the microwave is very weak. I replaced the bulb with a LED bulb. The microwave does work good

Well its a 1000 watt microwave it doesnt have the quick time settings like 1 is for 1 min auto start no you push 100 start for 1 min.. not as nice as most microwave for the price..

I purchased this over the range microwave last December. I bought this model in late December because my prior LG model which was over 10 years old stopped working and could not be repaired. There are many features on the new microwave which was not present on the prior model. We are and continue to be very pleased with our purchase.

Others have said the backlighting on the touch panel is too dark. Thats an understatement. Its faulty design when the options cant be seen.

We purchased the LMV1831SS to replace our 14 old LG Microwave. Such a great improvement. Love the cook sensing features. Our only complaint is it is hard to see the controls. Very dark. Would love if all the features were backlit.

We love it. It matches our fridge and stove and Im glad we went with the fingerprint resistant finish. The inner shelf is neat but we hardly use it however. The installation was also a little difficult but no different from other microwaves I believe. Overall we are very happy with our purchase.

While this is a very good microwave but I was so disappointed that it didnt have the LG tune indicating the finish. I was so tired of that incessant beep my former microwave had that I was eager to replace it. Wish I could turn it off Another feature I miss is the express cook feature. Simply pressing one number to start cooking was a feature I regularly used and miss it. I admit I didnt do my homework before purchase. Now to the features I do like...the quick defrost and timed defrost are both effective doing the job without cooking the item. The sensor reheat is also effective leaving the food nicely heated. I also like the add/subtract 10-second feature.

Overall the microwave is super attractive and looks awesome above the new LG stove below it The keypad is dark though and hard to read and I also feel like the buttons are fussy to use sometimes having to push a number twice for it to detect. The Grey interior is also dark so feels like a little cave. Wish it was brighter or had more light to illuminate whatever we are heating. Lastly the bulb for the over the cooktop light located in the bottom of the unit put out so much heat that we could feel the warmth on the inside of the microwave below glass plate therefore making us nervous to use as a night light as we had hoped. We changed it to an LED which seems to be working just fine.

There are two things that we would change. First the programming panel is not back-lit at all which makes it more difficult to see without a bright kitchen light being turned on. Secondly we are used to our previous microwave displaying a number to choose with an abbreviated food item when using the sensing cook mode. I had to make a copy of the Sensing Cook mode selection recommendations and put in the cupboard with this microwave .

Negatives: wish it had a two position light underneath brite and low. It only has a brite option. Also wish the keypad was back-lit

I k or its hard to get excited about kitchen appliances but I am excited about my new microwave. It is so easy to clean and looks great in my kitchen. Cooke great. My last microwave was so loud and noisy - this one is so quiet I often dont realize it is running.

I went with LG because I like the look. I LOVE that the clock light is white bright however like so many others have said in their reviews the touch panel is too dark and hard to see. Also I feel I have to press a little hard on the touch panel.

I hate the dark gray interior makes it too dark to see in with no interior light hate that the inside top is not magnetic to attach my cover and hate that there is no back light on control buttons so unless I turn on the kitchen light I can not see the buttons. Should back light when you touch one
