When we returned from vacation our old 24000 wall AC had finally died and we had 2 weeks of 90 degree weather forecasted. We want to get a ductless split system installed but knew it would be awhile before we could get someone to do it so we had to get something temporary to cover a large open area which included our kitchen dining and living rooms. This little 6000btu unit did almost as well as our 24000 btu unit it has been a lifesaver for the last few weeks

We used this the first summer we bought it without issues. Stored in a bedroom over winter. The next summer one year later had major problems with water not evaporating it did not shut itself off when reservoirs were full and leaked water.

I bought this about a month ago now. Its a great AC cools so fast. Love all the features. The remote is so convenient too. It was a life saver I needed one fast because my whole home AC failed couldnt be fixed for a few days. So after it was fixed. My bedroom was always the hottest room. So I loved it so much Im using it now to be comfortable in my bedroom. It was a blessing as it turned out. Just Love it so much. Thanks for making my life more comfortable.

The unit although sleek looking and blowing a lot of cold air brings warm air from outside to use for cooling air on the high pressure side of the AC unit. This requires a basic understanding of heat pump and Air conditioning principles. To simplify that long hose that goes out through the window is blowing heated air from the high pressure side. The low pressure side of the unit is what has air blowing across it to cool the air for the inside of your house. The big problemair that is used for the high pressure side is not coming into the house through a duct DIRECTLY into the machine it is comes into the house through leaky windows doors and walls. This vacuum that is created by the design causes hot air from OUTSIDE the house to enter the house drastically reducing the usefulness of the unit So picture a 10 foot by 10 foot box of air being cooled in your house only to be offset by a 7 foot by 7 foot box of warm air coming inside your house through leaky doors and windows. To reiterate the air being used to cool the hot side of the machine comes from outside your house through doors and windows therefore warming your house. Turn the machine off open a window a half inch feel for a draft. Then turn on the machine and feel for a draft. Its enough to blow out a lighter stick

We bought it installed it easily and it has been running for a good 3 weeks. Love it. Love that we can take it with us if we move or use it elsewhere in the house. This unit was bought as a supplement to our central AC which has trouble sending enough cold air to the master bedroom. Nobody likes to sleep hot. In Houston TX in the summer this AC will drop the room temp by as much as I can stand. Its advertised for 350ft2 my master bed and bath ate probably right at 250. This baby sucks out out the humidity and frosts body parts you dont want frosted. My only con is the quick kit to attach to my window is doesnt seal up well. In LGs defense I havent seen a kit yet that works well without modification or extra seals.

I bought this from Home Depot for use in my 36 foot 5th wheel. Im hooked up to a 15 amp power supply so this unit works fine. The cooling performance gas been adequate at OATs up to 96 degrees. I especially like the technology that uses extracted moisture to assist in cooling. So far the condensate reservoir has remained dry.

This is my second LG portable air conditioner and this one blows the first one away. Easily setup in minutes and will exceed your expectations. Love the fact it will shut the fan off when the temperature falls several degrees below your desired temperature so it does not continuously run and force you to turn it off like a lot of A/Cs that continuously run. Remote control so you can operate it without having to go to the unit. This model has a dehumidifier feature along with just a fan option. Always innovating and improving on their products and you cant go wrong with an LG. A must have if you need to cool off

We bought 2 of these 20 days ago. 1 more a week ago. It does cool great. Easy to set up. But our biggest issue is the dehumidifier doesnt work on any of the units. We didnt realize it until our home is now so full of moisture that it is causing damage to our home. And only after a short time of usage. There is no water coming out of either of the drain holes. It is ruining our home drastically. We have no choice but to return all 3 and maybe the 2 we bought for our daughters home. Very disappointed and very dissatisfied with this product.

Its been so hot and it feels like we have to buy a new window unit every year because our apartment doesnt have build in AC. We finally decided to try a portable unit and so far its working great Had a bit of leaking but we purchased a boot tray to put underneath it and it caught the small amount of water that leaked out. Its nice too cause now in the winter well have an extra boot tray for snowy shoes. Its not too loud and I love the auto swing feature. I wish I could have it angled a bit differently but the way our living room and windows are arranged it cant quite point at us with the exhaust tube in the preferred position.

We bought our first portable A/C in May instead of putting a window A/C in one of the bedrooms. This A/C was installed with no issues and cools a room down quickly. The features are nice but having an energy saver option to pause A/C when room temperature was reached would have been nice too. Otherwise we are happy with our first portable A/C.

We bought our second LG room AC because we liked the features and in particular the continuous fan on feature that didnt disrupt our sleep. The problem with the first unit after 3 years and the second unit after less than one year is that the unit stops maintaining its set temperature and stars to accumulate excessive water. In fact we needed to place in it a plastic tray with the bottom drain open so that we could make it through the night. We followed all of the troubleshooting and called customer service to no avail. When the unit works its fantastic and cools great but when it doesnt it is very annoying.

Though only having and using the product for a short time less than 1 min and having to return it for reasons not concerned with the products functionality and quality in anyway. Machine itself is high quality the hose and other attachments are of good quality except for the window panels they were of lesser quality. The window panels were easy to install together but they were not created for all window types. And there was an issue because of having a distinctive different type of window. Basically the inside of that window had a hollow center and the panels were not high enough to remain in that position properly. A position that would have made the installment inside the window completely improper. Also the panel design will allow for air to easily escape and it could lead to negatively impacting temperature in the room.

Had this a few weeks and it works perfectly. I use in the bedroom at night and move to the living room on really hot days. The only slight problem is I added a hose to drain water into a bucket and the water doesnt drain well. Ive had to tip the unit back to drain it.

We actually have three of these units in different sizes but I just installed the 3rd one today in my office which isnt hooked up to the HVAC and heats up badly all summer here in Ohio. One of the bedrooms has a wind out type window so I built a custom screen from Lexan and put it in place of the original screen with a large hole drilled in it. Works great See attached All three have been very reliable and really push out cold air its remarkable how much heat is leaving the room through the corrugated tube. All three save us energy because we dont run the main a/c at night and the one in my office is only used in the evenings. We have had window units before and they were always really heavy and froze up dripped water etc. Our LG units have none of that on really humid summer days I check the water drains but theres never very much water to deal with. The one I installed today 95 degrees outside took the office down to 72 in about 45 minutes. We are very happy with our LG air conditioners

We dont usually need AC more than a couple of weeks per year. Nights are usually in the high 60s low 70s most of the summer. On those few nights though this unit cools our bedroom wonderfully.

I bought this air conditioner almost a year ago. A couple of weeks before the warranty was up I found it wasnt working. Called the customer support and the vicious circle began. They needed the receipt which I provided. It was not acknowledged so I called again and got a different person who asked me to text the receipt. I did this and it was not acknowledged. A few days later I was asked to contact them through a link I received earlier I never received a link and could not respond to the email Later I received an email telling me I successfully registered my air conditioner. It is well past the expiration of the warranty and I am now the proud owner of a fully registered broken LG air conditioner.

Summer in Maine arrived and both my portable air conditioners are in use in the bedroom. I find them easy to adjust to suit each room one gets morning sun the other the afternoon sun. Comfy sleeping although I wish they were quieter.

Was very pleased with how the unit operated. Cooled a small outbuilding without any trouble. Unfortunately the digital control panel ceased to function after about 11 months. Contacted LG and was given instructions to purchase a new model and receive a refund. Get the extended warranty.

I am having issues with my central a/c unit ...while waiting for the process of getting it fixed $$ I am satisfied with the output and features I decided on this unit because I was not able to use a window unit due to how the window opens in the room and for the fact that it is portable...yes you will need to vent it out a window etc however it included the kit to vent outside ...cleaning air filters was a breeze...as well as draining the water

I bought this as a temp fix in Texas since one of my main house A/Cs went down for repairs. I use it to cool a 11x14 bedroom. Set up was simple and straightforward. Right out of the box it cooled down the bedroom several degrees within 30 minutes cool setting. Been using it every day now for the past two weeks and there have been no issues. I only briefly checked the other two modes to make sure they worked. It is loud as other reviews have indicated but I prefer some noise at night anyways so it is not an issue. I like the mobility of this unit and even tried it in another room briefly. Moving it was no problem. I would like to see the option of buying an extra window kit automatically offered when purchasing this unit.

I bought this device last year and it needed to be replaced as I set it up again a few weeks ago as it was not cooling the fan was blowing in the correct mode but cold air was not escaping. I was unable to return the product as I bought it last June but the warranty covered it through LG. I had to buy a new device through them and currently waiting on the reimbursement. The customer service was fantastic through the process and continued to reach out until resolved. The device when working does cool the room off fairly well but is a little bit noisy the controller works well and is convenient unsure if I would want another app on my phone to use for this if it was available.

I love LG. I think they dont put out a product unless it is one of the best in its field and thats why I decided to trust them again when I needed an indoor air conditioner. The reviews of various companies all had good reviews as this did and it is otherwise hard to choose - so I just chose LG and Im happy so far that I did. I wanted an indoor unit specifically. My concerns with that type of unit were 1 do I have to empty water buildup 2 efficiency or cooling ability 3 power consumption specifically will the cord get hot when on continuously for days... So all three concerns are satisfied cord/wall stays cool as does the unit no water buildup or emptying on cooling mode to worry about at all and unit pumps wonderfully freezing air into the room - quickly cooling a 400 ft space and even supplying cool dry air to a larger space. I am sufficiently impressed. If it never breaks and is always the same trusty unit that it is now I would consider it perfect. The cons? Well it is certainly louder than my old energy star window unit. I dont mind white noise at all though for sleeping and it is not too loud for that. I would like a lower fan speed option that is quieter but I doubt other models are any quieter. I believe I read the fan has to run to wick the water buildup away - so a low setting simply might not be possible with an indoor unit of any kind. In any case it does have a low and high speed. Suggestion: the remote could use an led display light. You pick it up in the night to turn the fan to low or turn it off - and you cant see squat start guessing and hitting all the wrong buttons. So I just had to learn where each button is no big deal but light would be improvement. Overall it has reliably and impressively cooled my space sealed off my window perfectly jumps to life every time I ask it to and worked perfectly as advertised. Would definitely recommend.
